PBGP awards for RVR ladies

Fantastic Ribble Valley Runners Kate Griffiths and Joanne Motley picked up their prizes at Friday night’s Pendle and Burnley Grand Prix Awards night held at Burnley FC Turf Moor following the completion of the 13 race local grand prix running series.

Kate won first prize in the F45 category and 6th place overall whilst Jo was third F40 and 11th overall.

This was an amazing achievement for our 2 super fast ladies who had to complete a minimum of 9 races across a variety of race types - road / trail / fell with distances ranging from 5K to a half marathon.

Congratulations to Kate and Jo and also to all 20 or so RVR members who turned up to support them and join in the fun on the awards night.

The PBGP series was superbly organised by John Roche and his team and Ribble Valley runners competed in every event with around 50 members competing at least one of the events in the series.

Well done Team RVR - looking forward to next years PBGP series already!
