RVR Championship Race 2 - Crooked Billet Trail Race

A glorious summer evening saw a pleasing turnout of 20 members running in race 2 of the team RVR race champs. The Crooked Billet Trail Race was a 6 mile mixed terrain jaunt around the scenic Worsthorne countryside which everyone seemed to really enjoy despite the high temperature and the undulating nature of the course.

Great running from everyone tackling the tough course in that heat - refreshments at the excellent Crooked Billet pub afterwards were greatly appreciated!

Well done to RVR members Kate Griffiths and Diane Haggar who both won their respective age / gender categories and also to Dan Evans who managed to grab one of the spot prizes at the presentation!

Our RVR Championship leaders after 2 races are Chris Rush and Helen Roden who both have the maximum 100 points available having been the first RVR members back across the finish line in both races. All still to play for though with 4 more races to come.

Next RVR champs race is the Greenway 5K in Padiham on 13th July.
